Task Force Chef

Michael H

Michael first realized his passion for hospitality and food & beverage after working as a manager for a fast-food restaurant after High School. After moving back to his hometown to help on the family farm, he started working at local restaurants and quickly became known for his emphasis on quality and speed in the kitchen. After moving to Eau Claire, Wisconsin he enrolled in Chippewa Valley Technical College to pursue their Culinary Arts program. He then joined the Wissota Chophouse team in Chippewa Falls in 2020 as part of an internship for the Chippewa Valley Technical College. After working under the Chef there,  he was promoted to Executive Chef in 2022 for the Wissota Chophouse's sister property, the Wissota High Shores Supper Club. Today, Michael finds great joy in creating new and exquisite dishes. His other passions include teaching and coaching the kitchen staff by showing them the exciting world of culinary arts, which he brings with him into his role as a task force chef.
