Thomas was raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and began his career in hospitality at an early age when he accepted his first job as a paperboy. It is there that he realized the satisfaction of a job well done in the service of others. Since that time, he has had a long and varied career in hospitality. After putting himself through college bartending at nights, Thomas embarked on a career working seasonal jobs in some of America's most beautiful vacation spots. For the past 25 years, he has worked in places such as the wilds of remote Alaska, the plains of the Dakotas, the deserts of West Texas, and the beautiful National Park laden vistas of Utah. Working in such a variety of places has allowed Thomas to immerse himself in all aspects of the hospitality industry.  From washing dishes, to being a Zip-Line Guide, working as a porter to a front desk agent, front desk supervisor to front desk manager, as well as hotel director, Thomas says what keeps him going is the satisfaction of a smiling guest.
